We generally hold waiting lists for Cavapoo, Cockapoo and Labradoodle. The lists are usually always open for pups leaving up to a maximum of 6 months in advance. We do not take families onto the list looking for a puppy more than six months away as we often find that circumstances change in this time. From 2025 Cavapoo waiting lists will be by deposit only. Any available pups out with the lists will be advertised as and when available on the website. This is due to the large number of people asking to go on our Cavapoo list which ends up being very long so we close it. Then unfortunately when we contact people on the list around half either do not reply or are not in a position to have a puppy. In the meantime we have normally turned many families away so unfortunately we have had to implement the change. The deposit waiting list for Cavapoo will require a form to be completed which can be emailed to you.
You can be added to the waiting list for all other pups by messaging us via the facebook page on messenger or whatsapp. We also update current availability on the facebook page Abergwenllan. If we have contacted you when a puppy has become available for you and you do not take up your place we will remove you from the list at that time. You can re apply to go back on the list at a later date.
We normally contact families on our waiting list once pups have safely reached plus 10 days of age. This varies depending on the litter. At this point you would be asked whether you were looking for a girl or a boy and available colours. We would speak to all potential owners on the telephone re suitability and their requirements. As well as going through parents details and health testing for the particular litter. It is at this stage that we would take a £250 deposit for all available pups. ( with the exception of Cavapoo who would have paid a waiting list deposit) All owners then receive weekly puppy photographs so that they can follow the progress of their litter up until the six week viewing and choosing visits.
Choosing your actual puppy is always done at plus six weeks of age as it is only then that you can really see the differences between the pups and their individual temperaments so this is the best time to make an informed decision. At six weeks pups are also big enough to meet lots of different. We really like you to visit to do this as well as meet both parents and us. We appreciate that some families abroad or a long distance away may only want to visit once and in these cases we will provide videos. It is never a good idea to chose a puppy from just a photograph.
Choosing of pups at six weeks is done in order from the waiting list or in order of contact. This is the fairest way to allocate pups. If following your visit you decide you do not wish to proceed with any of the available pups we refund your deposit. The deposit is not refundable if you do not turn up for your visit or cancel at anytime before then. You must attend the visit which will be booked at a time to suit you when pups reach six weeks old.
For pups travelling overseas using licensed pet carriers choosing and viewing can be done by video and video call.
At the six week visit we take all your details and at this point we send you out the care details for your puppy and book your puppy collection time and date. Visits are the opportunity to spend time with the puppies meet their parents and ask all your questions.
Puppies leave for their new homes from eight weeks and two days of age following their eight week vet checks, vaccinations and microchips. We like pups to be in their new homes by ten weeks of age. We provide lifetime support and advice for all of our owners and are always available for advice. We also always provide a home for any of our dogs should they ever need it. This is written into our contract of sale.
"We brought our little Miko home yesterday and we are in love with his incredible nature and gorgeous face. Claire has been so helpful and informative and her support has made the experience so enjoyable."
